6/1/20 UPDATE–Lobby reopening

The lobbies of First Federal will reopen on June 15, 2020, and will be observing normal hours for each location, which can be found on our website.

As we reopen, we remain committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for our employees and customers.  I want to make everyone aware of the procedures we have put in place:

  • We have set aside the hours of 8:30am – 10:00am for Seniors and those that are at higher risk
  • Masks are not required but strongly recommended
  • Maximum number of customers at one time will be posted at each office
  • Please be courteous of social distancing requirements by remaining at least 6’ from the person in front of you-as indicated by the decals on the floor
  • Installed plexiglass shields at each teller station
    • We ask that you remain in front of the shield
  • 1 person at the window at a time (unless with small children)

Finally, we understand there is always a need to meet with someone here. We aren’t discouraging that, but we are limiting the areas where we meet with our customers.  To limit exposure and ensure social distancing, we ask that you make an appointment with the individual you need to meet with.

4/28/2020 UPDATE–Lobby reopening

As the State of Ohio begins to reopen according to a Governor timeline, we are preparing to do the same.  We are excited to reopen to the public, but will only do so when we know that we have everything to ensure the safety of our employees and customers.  We have put in place a plan that will combine access and prudence, but are awaiting many supplies which will allow us to effectively do so.  I will continue to keep you updated, but in the meantime, we remain committed to serving you in the many ways we have been over the last several weeks.

UPDATE–Paycheck Protection Program

At First Federal, we are working through all of the aspects of the CARES Act Paycheck Protection Program.  In the haste to roll this out, the SBA and federal government are continually reworking the program and systems, as well as the documentation, funding and forgiveness requirements.  First and foremost, I want to assure you that we make these loans correctly, to avoid any issues with forgiveness at a later date.  

I want to assure you that we are working diligently on your behalf, and all of the small businesses that have applied.  With the limited amount of funds, and the number of applications being accepted nationwide, being in receipt of your application does not constitute a commitment to lend on First Federal’s behalf.

4/2/2020 UPDATE:

To continue to align our time frames with the State of Ohio, and the orders of Governor Dewine, I am continuing the closure of our lobbies and extended hours until 5/1/2020, at the earliest.

I will continue to provide updates on our website and social media outlets as they arrive.

For the safety and health of our most important assets, our employees and customers, we are temporarily suspending lobby banking hours at all of our locations AT THE END OF BUSINESS 3/19/2020. We anticipate that we will reopen the lobbies by April 6th, but will revisit this as it gets closer. We will continue to provide full banking services at all drive-thru locations. During this period, we are offering extended hours at each location, which are: Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 5:30pm and Saturday from 8:30am to 1:00pm.

In addition, we encourage everyone to take advantage of our online and mobile banking applications, as well as our ATM network, which includes any MoneyPass ATM. We will continue to make our Night Drops available all day, as well.

If you’ve experienced a disruption in income as a result of COVID-19 and need assistance, please give us a call to discuss your personal situation and to learn how we might help.
